About

I survived the browser wars

Hello! My name is Lisa and I’m an Illustrator and UI Web Developer with a background in Graphic Design.

It’s not everyday that you can say you outlived Internet Explorer. It’s quite the accomplishment. I dabbled in building sites with tables back in the dark times, made my start clearing floats, and have now advanced to using HTML5 with CSS3 utilizing flexbox and grid.

I graduated from Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario from Graphic Design in 2004 and Web Animation and Design in 2010. Much of what I know is self taught.

I have mainly focused on developing custom websites in WordPress CMS, but have also worked in Shopify, and have used pagebuilding systems such as WPBakery and Divi.

When I’m not battling site breaking bugs, or thinking of awesome things to build, I like to draw and get stuck in my imagination. It’s quite the place for someone whose middle name means “Friend of the Elves”.

I look forward to hearing from you!

CodePen Playground

I do some of my best thinking by experimenting with code. I use CodePen for this experimentation as I believe it is great to share what you learn, while you learn it. Below are some of my best examples. More can be found by visiting my CodePen account.
